The Genesis of Work

Being a Teacher or a Fireman or a Policeman or a Prison Guard or a Road & Bridge Builder or a Military man or a Congressman or to work at providing any service is a job no matter who is paying for it.

If I hire someone to cut my grass, it does not matter if it last for an hour or a day or a lifetime, it is still a job. It is not the duration of the work that makes it work.

I draw a Social Security check and do no work at all. But I and 60 million other spenders of money provide jobs for millions of others.
I have no idea what your JOB is but I can guarantee that your pay comes partly from dollars in the economy that I spend and all State and Federal workers spend.

There is no distinction between work paid for by taxes or borrowing and work paid for by consumers who spend by working for the private sector or by borrowing. It all comes from the Goods & Service created by Society as a whole. Government is a service industry that serves the Common Good. The work it performs is essential to the existence of of the Human Community.

The Buck starts here.
